Mildred Owen Hall’s own Little Big Band returns with a performance featuring a wide variety of styles. It’s the holiday season, so there will be a bit of partying going on, complete with complementary cookies, and eggnog at intermission!

This year’s selection of music is curated by vocalist Tina Schuller, and includes some great soul tunes along with the band’s unique arrangements and originals, as well as some seldom-heard music of the holiday season. Shelley Sorenson, lead singer of Pacific Fault Line, will be adding her voice to Tina’s.

Mojazz Members:

Tina Schuller – vocals
Jerry Davis – saxes, flute
Alan Lee – piano and keyboard
Carl Herder – bass
Shelley Sorenson – guest vocalist
Norman Dutton – saxes
Don Rowell – guitar
Dan Langlands – drums

Determined to leave an impression on the world, the band has been arranging classic (and not so classic) rock tunes in their own style. Their motto is “We don’t play it like the record!”. Their pianist, Alan Lee, has created videos to accompany their audio recordings. Watch his video of their performance of Alan’s arrangement of a Beatles tune they have done for a few years, Got To Get You Into My Life:
