Loralee Christensen has been performing and recording for over 30 years. Through the years, her powerful, soulful, multi-faceted and versatile voice has kept her consistently busy both live and in the recording studio. Her range as a vocalist is truly impressive. She can go from a soulful, raucous, growling Big Mama Thornton to a sexy, sultry, smooth Julie London or a powerful, gutsy, rocking Linda Ronstadt to a sweet, sensitive, tender Emmylou Harris in an instant. Her honest and heartfelt live performances have been thrilling and moving audiences from San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and everywhere in between. In Italy, her powerful performances at the world renowned Porretta Soul Festival earned her the nicknames “La Bionda Bomba” (the blond bombshell) and “La Voce” (The Voice). Loralee is a first call and has recorded for some of the very best writers and producers in some of the country’s very best studios. You’ve heard Loralee on countless national television and radio ads including spots for Mazda, Taco Bell, Clorox, Sunkist and Jello. You’ve also heard her on movie soundtracks such as “Rent,” on albums like Celine Dion’s “A Decade of Song” and on the video game Sony Playstation 2’s “Karaoke Revolution – American Idol.”
“Loralee’s voice is the embodiment of her spirit… big, lusty, and filled with love. She is a force of nature.” ~ Jeffrey Cohen, Keller & Cohen
“. . . Loralee spooned out a whole lotta auditory sugar and torch . . . Her song strolls through blues, country, rock and originals are like paddling down some old, heart-felt river where dusted off grown-up memories of all the highs and lows of some really big love shine up like bright new pennies . . . wouldn’t be surprised if Janis Joplin or Sister Rosetta Tharpe dropped (her) a hint through the heavens . . .” ~ Jean Bartlett, The Mercury News
“. . . how come Loralee isn’t more well known? . . . maybe she’s just never gotten the break she deserves. In any case, more people need to hear her . . . ” ~ Paul Liberatore – Here Magazine/Marin Independent Journal
“Soul-singer, rock goddess, stylist, personality that blows through your speakers forcing you to listen, all of these are Loralee.” ~ Stephony Smith, 1998 BMI Songwriter of the Year
