Chris Makonnen hails from the Ivory Coast. Chris, who is reminiscent of the late great Dennis Brown, is the band’s lead vocalist. In addition to being a front man, he also plays guitar and is an incredible songwriter.
Chris released “Live Again“, which was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica. He has thousands and thousands of hits on YouTube with his videos of “Jubilation” and “Brother Moses“.
Chris played last year to sold out shows in his native Ivory Coast. Additionally, Chris has played many other African countries at fairs & festivals as well as local events where he now resides in Sonoma County. These shows include Hopmonk, Jasper’s, Redwood Café, Quincy’s, Whiskey Tip, Ashkenaz, Hopmonk Sebastopol, Ounces, Sweetwater, HM Bread, Peri’s, and Murphy’s. He has also performed at as such notable events such as the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, Ounces Outdoors Festival and Sausalito Multicultural Festival.
Chris has performed with such luminaries as Andrew Tosh, Ninja Man, Stranger Cole, Mikey Dread, Eek-A-Mouse and many other well-known Reggae artists.

Doors open 7:00 PM, shows start promptly, please arrive on time.

- Refreshments will be served before the show and through the end of intermission and can be consumed inside the hall. Refreshments are not served after intermission. Please return bottles, cups, and cans to the refreshment window before returning to your seat.
- Per our ABC licensing requirements alcohol must be always kept inside the hall. No outside wine and beer are allowed.
- We have increased our hall ventilation. Dress warmly on a cold day.
