Roger Glenn, second-generation master multi-instrumentalist, composer and entertainer on the flute, sax and vibraphone, is the son of the late Tyree Glenn who was one of the 57 notable jazz musicians pictured in the historic photo “A Great Day in Harlem.” Roger has recorded, toured globally, and performed to enthusiastic audiences with jazz legends such as Dizzy Gillespie, Mongo Santamaria, Rosemary Clooney, Herbie Mann, and Taj Mahal. Roger’s flute playing is featured on the Grammy-award winning album “La Onda Va Bien” with Cal Tjader, as well as many notable recordings by Donald Byrd, Peaches & Herb, ConFunkShun, Bobby Hutcherson and Mongo Santamaria. This year, finalizing his long-awaited studio album “My Latin Heart” by The Roger Glenn Latin Jazz Ensemble, where he steps into the spotlight as bandleader, composer, and jazz giant with a unique story to tell with all original compositions. For this performance delight in his range of styles from Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Tango musical selections.
