Fifty years ago, the Pacifica Arts & Heritage Council, the predecessor of Pacifica Performances, started hosting live music performances at the Pedro Point Firehouse. Over time, we had to find other venues to hold our concerts, which were at Saint Edmunds Church, and the Pacifica Community Center, before finding a home of our own as part of the Pacifica Center for the Arts. In 2010, to commemorate our first Artistic Director, we named our hall the Mildred Owen Concert Hall.
We are holding a free concert on May 3rd to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the organization now called Pacifica Performances. The format is casual, as there will be many performers playing 15-minute sets of music. People are invited to stay as long as they like, or only come to hear their favorite performer. No tickets are available, just come and enjoy a cavalcade of music.
This is the proclamation from the city of Pacifica which was presented to us at the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Most of the headlining musicians will be playing with an all-star house band that Billy Philadelphia has brought together for this occasion:
Jim Nichols – guitar
Billy Philadelphia – piano
Chuck Bennett – bass
Curt Moore – drums
