Pianist DANIEL GLOVER (pic) and narrator ROBERT LAPPA explore piano works by three important Russian composers, including Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonata No. 2, Medtner's Funeral March and Danza Festiva and a few early Scriabin preludes. We will learn about the lives of these composers and their impact on Russia in an era of world war and tremendous change.

ERIK JEKABSON & DAN ZEMELMAN DUO. Trumpeter Erik Jekabson and pianist Dan Zemelman will perform both jazz standards and originals, drawing on influences as diverse as New Orleans Jazz and 20th Century Classical music. Unencumbered by a traditional rhythm section, you can expect this duo's music to take imaginative flights into musical realms as yet uncharted.
